Here’s an uplifting tip for the end of the week. At the end of each day find 3 good things about the day and make a note of them. This one goes hand in hand with setting intentions for the day. Did you manage to achieve what you set out to do at the beginning of the day?
The three things don’t have to be world changing. It could be as simple as ticking off something on your to do list that has been hanging around for a while. Or making time for a quick catch up with a colleague. Or taking that break at lunchtime you’ve been promising yourself for days.
Whatever it is, record it somewhere and keep that list or notebook handy. Write each day after the next, maybe with the corresponding date. Once in a while, particularly on those days when you feel like you’ve achieved nothing, you can look back over your past positive comments and remember that you’re awesome. It’s also very handy when it comes to appraisal time as you’ll have a ready list of all your wonderful achievements.
