A regular meeting with each of your team is a necessary part of your role as a team leader or manager. You need time to catch up on what they are focussing on, dive into their appraisal objectives and generally understand their workload and how they are doing. However these meetings can, over time, become less effective as you fall into a pattern where the meeting takes place at the same time and in the same location every week.
Sometimes it can be good for both of you to shake things up a bit and one way I like to do this is to take the meeting for a walk. By releasing yourselves from an office environment it allows you both literally the opportunity to breathe and see things from a different perspective.
