…Is actually very simple – get more sleep. Over the past few years sleep has become over-rated. With power-hungry start-up entrepreneurs professing to only sleep 5 hours a night. But that’s codswallop. Sleep is the body’s way of keeping you healthy both physically but also mentally.
Sleep gives you a chance to repair and refresh so it’s about time we all made a pledge to sleep more.
As a mother of a son who didn’t sleep for his first two and half years I understand the toll that sleep deprivation can take – physical exhaustion, emotional exhaustion and perhaps most important for me, a loss of memories as sleep is vital in our ability to lay down and store memories.
If you’re going to pledge to make just one change in 2019, make it this – sleep at least 7 hours a night – more if you can get it.
