This is an awesome speech given by Yifat Susskind who is a women’s rights activist. We all have the power to make change happen and yet sometimes we stand in our own way and stop the change. Taking a new perspective on how to think can unlock not only your potential but the potential for change.
How can you put this into practice? Words are all very well but how do you change the way you’ve solved problems and thought about the challenges in your life? I like to approach change in a three step way.
Step 1: decide on one small change. Don’t try to change too much at once or it wont stick.
Step 2: work out where that change fits in your normal routine. Do you need to work this change into your morning wake up or your commute (when we can start commuting again!) or with your mid-morning coffee.
Rinse and repeat. The only way to get a new habit or way of thinking to stick is practice. And if you fall back into old habits, don’t kick yourself, just refocus and try again.
